Note to French Canadians: I have an
honours degree in French, so I am well aware of the language
learning obstacles for native French speakers learning
English as a second language.
Whatever your reason for needing some coaching in English,
whether it’s as a second language or not, you can find
the course to suit you here – online or face-to-face in
Ottawa or Cornwall, Ontario.

Business English and
In-Company Training
Our Business English courses have a standard structure in terms
of the format of the course and the grammar taught but the content
is flexible and based on the needs and requirements of individual
companies regarding business language and terminology.
Some courses are geared towards general business English, while
others focus more on writing skills or oral presentation skills.
We determine your specific needs by initially setting up a needs
analysis meeting, which is then followed by an assessment of
the employees who will be involved which helps us decide how
long a course should be, and for how many hours.
Courses are face-to-face in-house at your premises. Please
be aware that it is important to have a suitable room available
for the lessons, along with a whiteboard, CD player, TV/video
and so on. We advise that there be a maximum of 15 students
in a group so that each student can get the necessary attention
and opportunity to practice and to ask questions.

Newcomers to Canada - English as a Second
Language classes
English language classes are held at a college in Ottawa every
Sunday 10am-2pm. Learn conversational, practical English and
grammar essentials in a fun informal environment. A group booking
of 10 people minimum is to be made before Wednesday. Cost $65
per person.

Grammar Intensive Grammar training
Attend weekend classes on St Laurent Boulevard, Ottawa, Ontario.
Can’t attend? Conquer grammar from anywhere with this live online
Grammar certificate course. Great for people with a busy schedule!
Enrolment is continuous, i.e. you can start as soon as payment
is processed! Our grammar unit will complement your business
needs.
This 12 hour course presents and explains the fundamental grammatical
structures so you are ready and able to teach them to your future
students. You will be emailed sections of the unit and will
receive individual personal feedback and grades from your EFL/ESL
Instructor. Ask questions live at your weekly online session.
NOTE for prospective online students: this course is NOT computer-graded.
All work is marked individually with regular live online chat
sessions.
As a native speaker using correct grammar is unconscious for
us. We don't have to think about how to conjugate our verbs
- we just talk! Naturally this will not be the case for non-native
speakers.
Maybe you do have a good idea of grammar or at least, you used
to have – from your lessons at school. Well, if this is the
case, this unit will help you reactivate your knowledge so you'll
have the knowledge at your fingertips when you need it.

English phonology (the sounds in English language)
Group bookings of a minimum of ten people to be made at least
one month in advance.
Cost: CAN $160 per person
Online version of this training is available. Cost $99 based
on a group booking of ten people minimum.
